General Trends In Handbags, Especially Authentic Designer Bags

The trends and styles of handbags have changed over the years. Spring 2011 styles are centered on bags called "North/South Totes." It's a casual style often offered in solid neutral colors, stripes or patterns. Two of the most popular materials are leather and suede and had one top handle or two long shoulder straps. Fabrics like cotton, canvas and linen are often used for those headed to the beach.

For the Fall of 2011, the trend seems to be red bags, small clutch purses, long shoulder straps and top handle satchels, known as "Lady Bags." These designs were represented at the New York Fashion Week in February. Colors that are desirable this particular season include red, burgundy, forest green and mustard. Classic colors of brown, white and black can be used to carry in any season. The single or double handled totes are both sought-after choices.

Totes and Duffels have also had their moment, and no longer have to be boring and practical - Prada, Coach and Gucci have all jumped on the bandwagon and have a stunning selection in these styles. Leather Duffel Bags are especially popular right now for men and women.

Tassels were a reflection of the purses from the 70's. Retro and vintage designs have a strong appeal in current day fashion. Some tassels were inspired by the flapper-style dresses from the early 1900's.

In the Spring of 2010, we found that the Boho was the bomb! Boho is short for Bohemian, in case you were wondering. That look captured the hippie style of the 70's. Bohemian is still available, although they do tend to be a little less flashy these days.

Textured bags that had braided handles, folds, and woven leather were also part of the trend for the Spring of last year. Bright colors, jewel tones and neon greens were amongst the fashionable choices as well. Last but not least, small bags with long shoulder straps, including chain straps, were popular last spring. Purses with studs, buckles, zippers, straw and exotic leather (snake and crocodile prints) are also desirable.

Waist and cross body bags have grown exponentially in the last decade. Messenger bags for men are becoming increasingly popular as they free the hands and are easier on the back than a traditional briefcase or laptop bag. When you couple this design with great leather and functionality, it says class all the way.

In order to keep up with the current handbag trends, there are many options. Read fashion magazines, watch TV shows that feature fashion or check out sites on-line. Choose a handbag that you like, that fits your style; the one that speaks out loud about who you are. We are all different and all have our own taste in fashion and design. Finally, know that trends change all the time and that it's more sensible to buy a style that will be timeless and will fit several seasons of change. Although it can be more fun to by a handbag just because it makes you happy!

Is a Red Handbag Better Than Other Handbags?

A red handbag can say a lot about a woman. It can say that she is confident; not only in herself but also in her own sexuality. The color red is bright and bold and having red handbags will show a side of you that others may not yet have known. In this article we will discuss how you can make sure that you pick the right red bag for yourself.

A handbag should be the same size as the woman that carries it

A large handbag should not be carried around by a petite lady and a very small handbag should not be used by a larger woman either. A handbag should be complimenting of the body frame of the individual that is using it. When you are picking out a handbag for yourself be sure to look in the mirror so that you can see if it actually suits you. Making sure will save you the time and the hassle of getting home only to realize that it is too big or small for you.

Red handbags are in style now

If you are a woman that wants to be wearing the latest in fashion then red handbags are for you. You only need to look in a celebrity magazine for a few minutes to realize that a red bag is extremely popular right now. Red is in style and a red purse will have your friends jealous and asking you where you found it. A red bag can be a great fashion accessory and you will always turn heads when you are wearing it.

A red handbag needs to be backed up with a strong personality

If you want to strut around with a red handbag then you are going to need to back it up. Red says that you are confident and that you are bold. If you are a quiet person that tends to want to keep to yourself then maybe red isn't for you. You need to be able to show that you and your handbag are one in the same.

A red handbag can be a great accessory for any occasion but it will especially look great for a night out when you are dressed up for a special event. A handbag should reflect the person that you are and choosing a red one shows that you are proud to be who you are. You will attract many eyeballs on you with red, so if you don't feel confident enough to do that, then just avoid it!

A red handbag can be a sexy accessory to wear out on the town. Are you someone that should be wearing red handbags? Some shouldn't and I hope that this was made clear through this article! Then again, who am I to set rules in fashion, right?

To Fall in Love in Red Leather Handbags

The leather handbag announces that you are indeed a grown-up, but you still like to play. Many years ago, on vacation, I went thrift store shopping. You never know just what you'll find, and that day I scored one of my biggest second hand conquests ever: a red leather Prada tote for under $10. It was perfect. It became my constant companion for two or three years, until the leather on one of the handles developed a crack in it. I still have it, however, and still use it sometimes. I consider it to be the most stylish possible accompaniment to the classic white blouse/blue jeans combination.

Of course, many if not all designers make red leather handbags. They know how red leathr takes a classic look and gives it just the slightest interesting twist. And the right shade of red can work wonderfully as a neutral, particularly with fall and winter clothes. In a liquid patent leather finish the red bag is the perfect bag to carry on a date. It's dressier than regular leather, and a little more rebellious.

If you've ever managed to get your hands on a red leather Birkin bag by Hermes, then I salute you! Vintage versions go for over $10,000! This is the bag that a woman could conceivably carry from age 25 to age 95 and always look right. But regardless of brand, it is hard to go wrong with a red leather handbag. From the tiniest evening clutch to the biggest leather slouch bag.

Large Red Handbags Are Definitely Functional and Absolutely Aesthetic

Customarily, women use handbags regularly for the main reason of carrying essential personal stuff which they cannot do without while out of the house. In the present generation when fashion is in, the handbags have greatly evolved from the most basic to the fancier kinds. There is now a much wider variety these days, available in many standard shapes, dazzling colors, and attention-grabbing designs. Though handbags are commonly used by women, the males already have their own line of handbags, too, as being practical especially nowadays knows no bounds.

On the whole, large red handbags feature very functional, and also aesthetic purposes. One of these can carry more necessary stuff ranging from the usual cosmetics, toiletries, gadgets, bills, keys, and wallet, to the not-regularly-brought extra clothes, shoes, laptop, and some important handy equipment. For a mom or a dad, a large handbag can also hold baby's things like extra nappies, a feeding bottle, and a few clothes. The said bag's big space can accommodate a day's essentials, or even more. This is a very handy accessory for somebody who is always on the go.

Combining the benefits of large handbags to the bold red color, the result is doubly immense. Whether these handbags are tote bags, bucket bags, backpacks, purses, baguette bags, accordion bags, etc., and whether designer bags or not, the aforementioned combination gives more advantages to any user. The color red is definitely quite attractive, trendy, and fashionable.

Red is said to go along with almost any color. To this, large red handbags go so well with any color of clothes and shoes, but they best complement dark-colored clothes like dark blue, dark gray, and dark green, as well as light tones like sky blue, lime green, light yellow, cream, and pink. Of course, red blends very well with the neutral white, and also black. Furthermore, red should ideally not be used together with neon colors, and other loud colors. However, such would actually be up to the actual users; it all depends on them what to wear with their respective handbags. To each user, what is most important is having a prominent, loud color which is elegant, eye-catching, and truly fashionable, while having an excellent means of bringing more necessary things conveniently together in one bag.
