The Red Purse - Two Rules to Help You Make a Statement!

Red purses are becoming more and more popular; you either own one or you want one, ladies. Red is the color of love and passion... so red purses are often chosen when we're looking for the perfect someone or when we're in a relationship. Red purses are perfect to give you the attention you seek.

The problem?

What do you wear to compliment the bag? Do you go with patterns? Add more red? Purposefully clash colors?

The solution?

There are two rules are not everyone knows when it comes to red purses. Sure, you look lovely with your $1,695 Burberry bag that you take on every first date. Sure, you look stunning with your $375 Cole Haan bag when you're out with the girls. But how do you know go the extra mile to make absolutely sure that you are looking top-notch for that date, that interview, or that walk in New York City?

One often-made mistake is that a lot of people feel they need to design their outfit around their bag and often go too overboard. If you're designing your outfit around your bag, make sure it compliments it and that your bag is the center-point. If you have too much going on an too many focal points you will be sure to look too "busy" to approach or even too "serious" to have a chat with.

The other mistake is when people use their bag to accent their outfit. If done right, it's amazing! But if done wrong... you may find yourself looking mis-matched and as if you ran out the door at the last minute.

So if you can't design your oufit around your bag, and you can't choose your bag to compliment the oufit... what are you supposed to do?

Meet half way. Take these two rules into consideration when wanting to look your best with your must-have red bag:

Neutrals - Believe it or not... but that power-red lipstick-colored bag (you know, the one that gives you the extra punch and kick when you need it?) is perfect for neutrals. By doing this, you're both using your bag to accent your outfit, but using your outfit to draw attention to your bag because of the color that will just simply stand out! Shoes and Belts... No Way - Your shiny, patent red bag is enough for your outfit. Don't try to match shoes or belts with it! Chances are... you won't be ableto match it exactly. And if you do, it will draw attention at three different areas rather than just at your bag, which, in turn, will draw attention to you. If you try to match too much (color-wise), others may think you are just trying to hard to match.

I told you they were easy and simple! So the next time you pick up your red bag when you go out, make sure you aren't trying to match your shoes or belt, and that you're wearing neutrals. Too much is... too much. Sometimes simple is the way to go... especially when you have that red bag to talk about!
